What is an art quilt? That's a good question, and one that's certainly open to debate. For me, an art quilt is first and foremost a work of art, which means that it has a point of view and makes effective use of color, texture, and design. As with any work of art it connects the viewer with the artist. It's also as much about the process of making the work as it is about the result. All of my art is the result of actions, reactions, and decisions. I might begin with a concept for a project, but the result is rarely the result of executing a plan.
